Classics Reading Group

We will be reading Frantz Fanon’s Black Skin, White Masks, in which Fanon develops a theory of identity of colonized people, in which the alien language and views of the oppressive colonizer submerge those of the colonized, extending the realm of oppression from the workplace into the mind. This book is a little over 200 pages, so we will be covering it in two sessions. For this month’s session, we will be reading from the introduction through chapter five.
